Tragically, a motorbike rider lost his life in a devastating collision on Sunday with a pickup truck on Staten Island.
In the collision that occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m., a 29-year-old biker collided forcefully with a white Dodge Ram at the intersection of New Dorp Lane and 10th St, according to authorities.
According to reports, the rider was observed lying beside his damaged bike in the aftermath of the crash. The Ram truck sustained damage primarily focused on its rear driver-side door.
According to police, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The individual operating the pickup truck, who is reported to be 21 years old, chose to stay at the scene, authorities said. It has been confirmed that no arrests have been made at this time, as stated by law enforcement officials.
